2011 – Double Coast to Coast
This years tour will see us do another double coast to coast using two lesser used Sustrans routes. Taking us from east to west, we shall follow the Hadrians Cycleway as is meanders up the Tyne and alongside Hadrians Wall before heading south along the coast to Ravenglass. From Ravenglass we make our own route up and over the fells to meet up with friends in Barrow-in-Furness before we tackle the Walney to Wear route back to the east coast. The Walney to Wear route promises a number of spectacular if lung busting climbs as it ascends to Tan Hill, home of the highest pub in England.

2010 – East & Central Scotland
Our annual cycle tour will take us north from Edinburgh following the east coast of Scotland to Arbroath, home to the famous Arbroath Smokie. From there, the route takes us inland to Forfar before we make our ascent up through the Cairngorms to Braemar. A tough day follows taking in Balmoral and Lecht before joining the Speyside valley in Craigellachie. The fifth day promises to be a relaxing journey following the river Spey to Aviemore. From the burble of the Spey, the route then heads south through whiskey territory and the Drumochter pass before winding through dramatic scenery to Callander and eventually back to Edinburgh.

Full details of the tour are here and you can follow our progress on the blog.
